Meet the Pros

	David Hardison - PGA Professional David Hardison was born and raised in California and was introduced to the game of golf at age 6 by his family.  He continued his love of the game through high school and college, participating in golf teams and starting local play with his peers. David tuned professional in 1986, earning his PGA card in 1990.  He has several top 10 finishes in local and section PGA events.  David was a board member and former Chapter president of Rocky Mountain Section PGA. David was previously the head golf professional at Jackson Hole golf and tennis in Jackson Wyoming and director of golf at Elkhorn Resort in Sun Valley.  He has spent the last four years at Teton Pines in Jackson, Wyoming. David and his wife Donna are excited about returning to the Sun Valley area and are looking forward to being at Bigwood at Thunder Spring Golf course for many years to come. 	Karen Shorts Karen C. Shorts is the PGA teaching professional at Bigwood at Thunder Spring.  She brings with her over 18 years of teaching experience.  She originally arrived in the Wood River Valley, Sun Valley area in 1991, and began to work at the Sun Valley Resort Golf Course.  Later, she moved to Bigwood at Thunder Spring to become the teaching professional in 1999.    Karen developed a strong background in golf by becoming the #1 player on her high school and college teams.  Then she honed her passion and skill by graduating college with a Physical Education degree.  After 3 years spent at Astoria C.C. in Oregon, she moved to Wood River Valley.    Karen also enjoys a winter career as a PSIA professional ski instructor for Sun Valley Company.  When time allows, Karen enjoys cycling, hiking, mountain biking, camping and skate skiing. Her other hobbies include traveling and bird watching.
